THE PRODUCER
THE PRODUCER
El Carmen Estate, farmed by the Alfaro family for over 100 years, is located in the Apaneca-Ilametepec mountain range, renowned for its specialty coffee production. The altitude at 1300m is especially high, but with a shade grown approach to production and heritage arabica varietals, the coffee quality is outstanding. We presented this coffee last season and it was received really well by customers and staff alike and this season's lot is equally tasty.

CITY
BRIGHT, MODERN,
FRUIT-FORWARD FLAVOURS.
Orange Bourbon is a varietal of arabica that emerged in El Salvador and became synonymous with sweet, aromatic coffee profiles. Here, they utilise cherries with the very highest sugar content and give them an anaerobic fermentation before gentle sun-drying. Complex, juicy and delicious.
Please note we only hold limited stock of these products, but we aim to roast at least two times a week (T&Cs apply)
How to brew
We normally lean toward filter brewing for the producer series as the method highlights the more complex and delicate flavours in lighter roasted coffee. As always, we default to the industry standard of 60g of coffee per litre of water as a starting point.
Tasting notes
Beautiful stone fruit and berry aromatics leading to a cup full of stewed fruit flavours, sugary praline notes and a pleasantly sweet and funky finish. Enjoy as a vibrant and fruity batch brew.
